Just yesterday (6th April), someone released a 22-second video of a young couple having sex in a car. The video initially went viral for the guy’s attempt at denying they were having sex; he claimed his girlfriend was sick. But, others then pointed out she looked underage. Needless to say, the internet has been in an uproar over it since.
The video showed the couple openly having sex in a car, allegedly somewhere in Johor. However, the girl’s face had been hidden and the only identification anyone had of her was the shirt she was wearing; a Red Crescent Society’s uniform. Unfortunately, the uniform has led to netizens claiming this female netizen was involved.
The female netizen had apparently uploaded a video of herself a few days ago on TikTok, clothed in a similar uniform. While netizens were quick to jump on the connection, the girl herself was baffled by the allegation. “I uploaded the video on TikTok with the Red Crescent Society uniform on 2nd April,” the girl stated in a post on her Facebook. “The ‘sakit’ video was posted by a Malay man on 5th April.”
The girl shared that the incident had come to her attention when she noticed her TikTok video jumping from 8,000 views to 250,000 overnight. Unfortunately, she also received almost 300 mean comments on the video. “I left it alone, thinking it was just (people reacting),” she said. But that changed when she found the viral video.
“These (brainless) people have been spreading (my video) on the internet. Which is why I’m responding to the video, uploaded 5 days ago,” the girl explained. She then stated it was the first video she had ever uploaded, and hoped people would stop to understand the situation before spreading rumours. “The heroine is not me, I am not (as) bold. Thank you,” she quipped.
Police have since arrested the guy and girl involved, aged 22 and 17 respectively. Investigations reportedly showed the incident had taken place last Wednesday (29th March) in Pasir Gudang. Authorities have also taken action to get the video removed from social platforms, allegedly in an attempt to protect the couple’s identities.
Well, we sincerely hope the wrongly suspected netizen will be able to live her life in peace now. We also hope people will allow related authorities to handle the issue in order to avoid upsetting any more innocent bystanders.
