According to the Sexual Health and Intimate Wellness Survey 2022, the number of Malaysian teenagers engaging in sexual intercourse has more than doubled since 2016, with 62% having their first sexual experience at the age of 22 or younger. The findings also revealed that 42% of young people preferred having intercourse without using condoms, which is concerning.
