Leave it to genuine good people to restore our fate in humanity. We’re not at all saying that most people are bad but since there’s too many viral stories about bad people doing inexplicable things, we thought we should balance them out by sharing more heartwarming stories.

We’ve had Jinnyboy tweet his story about how this ‘auntie’ helped pay for his drink when he didn’t have cash on him. Let’s also not forget about how this family were treated to KFC by their neighbour. Adding to our list of heartwarming stories is this pair of siblings who helped a lost child in a mall. Here’s the story:

TikTok user @sharifah.azfar posted on her profile sharing a story of how she and her younger brother helped this lost child find her mother at IOI City Mall. According to Sharifah, she went to the mall with her younger brother to buy more face masks when suddenly the siblings noticed a child frantically running around and crying for her mother.

The siblings managed to catch up with the lost little girl and carried her back to the location where they first saw her, thinking her mother must not be far away from there. The TikToker then revealed that it was her brother who first noticed the lost child and decided to help immediately. The siblings tried to calm the girl down by buying her a drink that she likes.

After paying for the drink from the supermarket, the siblings found the girl’s mother as soon as they walked out. The worried mother hugged her child while crying and thanked Sharifah and her brother for finding her. The viral video reached over 1.4 million views and not one dry eye were in the comments as netizens were touched by the reunion including singer Aidilia Hilda who commented, “Alhamdulillah, may God continue to bless you”.

Whether you’re a single parent or not, it’s not easy raising kids and things can happen in a blink of an eye when you’re out in public but thankfully for this mother, good people reunited her with her daughter.
