When it comes to reaching your goals, you’ll do just about anything in order to achieve them. One of the ways to achieve your goals is through networking. Having connections to certain people and companies can definitely help make the ride smoother and there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that.
However, some people will judge you because of these connections especially if you’re related to an important figure. Whenever that happens, that’s when you have to prove that you’re just as qualified as the next person for the job. Kasih Iris Leona recently got an internship but netizens are questioning how she landed the role in the first place.

Daughter of Malaysian veteran actor Azhar Sulaiman, Kasih Iris Leona or simply Leona recently landed an internship at AirAsia as the TikTok content creator. The 20-year-old posted several videos on the AirAsia account as well as her own. In the video above, she happily shared the news with her followers that she landed the internship at the airline.
But not everyone was happy about her announcement. While there were netizens who showed support for Leona, some apparently made snarky comments that she only got the internship because of her connection with the former AirAsia Chairman, Datuk Pahamin Abdul Rajab, who happens to be her grandfather.
The public figure was quick to post a response to netizens’ claims on her second TikTok account. The content creator intern posted a video where she addressed the rumours and speculations by saying, “I only told my grandpa about the internship after I got in,” which also indicated that she’s a qualified candidate for the role.

Some of her followers even came to Leona’s defense saying that she’s actually pretty smart and claiming that other companies would gladly accept her if not AirAsia. Others commented that there’s nothing wrong with working at your family’s company.
If that wasn’t convincing enough, Azhar Sulaiman also once shared that his daughter achieved great results for her SPM (7As,1B+) and her desire to study law back in 2020 which further proves that the new AirAsia TikTok intern is qualified for the position. We hope Leona enjoys her time there and may she excel in her internship.
