Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, or simply Chef Wan, may be known among many fans for his sharp tongue. Despite his blunt and straightforward personality, he’s also a loving dad to his two children – namely Chef Riz and also Serina.
In a post shared on his IG, Chef Wan revealed that he had gifted a dining table set and a sofa for Serina’s new home, in conjunction with her birthday. In case you missed it, the actress has just turned 39 yesterday (Thursday, 2nd June).
Apart from donating some of his old carpets and kitchenware, Chef Wan said that he also helped by contributing some funds to cover the cost of installing kitchen cabinets at her house. “My ‘rezeki’ (sustenance) belongs to them as well. When the renovation is finally completed, Papa will give another RM10k for your home accessories, lightings, fittings, etc. That will be my birthday gift to you,” Chef Wan wrote in his caption.
The 64-year-old added, “My son and his wife will also purchase their new three-bedroom apartment soon. I might sell my ex-wife’s apartment at Tiara Ampang and help them next with their new home in Setiawangsa.” For those in the dark, Chef Riz got married for the third time earlier this year. He was previously married to Emma Maembong’s elder sister Shikin.
According to Chef Wan, “I believe this is the responsibility for fathers to fulfill. From their childhood days, even up until they grow old, a good parent will always be there to extend his helping hand. Not a single father wants to see their children in distress. If you don’t want to help much, at least contribute something (to ease their burden).”
