Have you ever wanted to feel famous and have a “Verified” status on your social media platform? Unless you have a huge following, that’s most likely not going to happen. The next best thing for you would be being “Verified” on MySejahtera.
By updating your MySejahtera app to the latest 1.18 version, you will see a little blue badge right below your name and next to your IC number. If you don’t see it then, now may be a good time to update your MySejahtera app.
So what does it mean to be “Verified” on MySejahtera? When you go to the App store to download the new version, the only thing mentioned are the “Self-Reporting Module” and “Minor bug Fixes”. Nothing was said about being “Verified”.
At first, the “Verified” status on the MySejahtera app does not seem to have a function other than it just being there. When you update your app and log back in, you will see a red badge with the words “Verify Now” before instantly switching back to showing the name and IC number of the user.

The new status has left netizens confused and took to Twitter to ask questions in hopes that somebody out there could provide an answer. Some netizens even joked about not being able to be verified on other social media platforms, so MySejahtera would be the next best thing.
Earlier today (22nd March), The Ministry Of Health has finally put an end to everyone’s confusion by posting on their official Facebook page to provide more information regarding the new update. Basically, users who have not verified their account will not be able to fully access their MySejahtera and that includes displaying their vaccine certificates.
