When it comes to fast food, there are a few well-known brands. One of them is, of course, everyone’s favourite McDonalds. Now, McDonalds is known for a lot of things but, no one knows the full range of it. Well, wonder no more.
Someone is Alor Setar has just opened a McDonald’s museum. Yup, you read that right. This person has spent years collecting various merch and various items from McDonald’s and is ready to present it to the world (or at least, Malaysia).
Twitter user Neyra was the one to alert Malaysians of this rare gem of a museum. She explained that a collector of McDonald’s items had started an open museum in a shop lot in Alor Seter. “All the McD things were collected from his father’s time till now,” she stated. “First McD uniform in Malaysia, first Happy Meals in Malaysia, packaging, sauce, (they have) everything.”
Well, a picture speaks a thousand words and Neyra took more than enough to be convincing! She showed off past menus, promotional boards and posters. Neyra also took photos of the vast collection of McD toys the owner had after years of accumulating them. For some, it would be an eye-opener, for others, it’s a sure trip down memory lane. Several of you might even have some of these toys.

Neyra added that the shop is located in Pekan Pumpong and it currently costs RM10 (per adult) to visit. It’s open every day from 10am to 7pm. “The owner said that (locals) rarely visit. Not many know about the place,” Neyra mentioned. “Those who do visit are from far away. Come support!”
Netizens are already expressing their excitement at visiting the store. Even a few locals are determined to hunt it down. So, if you’re ever in Alor Setar, we suggest dropping by for an hour of two. After all, it’s definitely a worthwhile experience!
