A local man has attention on social media this week for his genuine excitement upon receiving news that he’ll be starting his new job as a GrabFood rider. The heartwarming moment was captured by a friend, before it went viral on TikTok.
As seen in the video by a TikTok user known as @mateddy7792, he recently shared a video of his friend running excitedly while carrying his green delivery bag around. According to the netizen, his buddy had to wait for three years to become an official rider for the food delivery service!

“After three years of waiting, his dream of becoming a Grab(Food) rider finally came true,” @mateddy7792 briefly wrote on his post. While this may come across as common or normal to some, we can assume that the good news that the man just received was like a ray of hope for him, especially with many out there who are still struggling due to the pandemic.
The video currently has over 1.1 million views on TikTok. Not only that, the comments section has also been flooded with netizens leaving uplifting words of encouragement for the food delivery rider. “Congratulations, and may you always be under God’s protection. Be careful on the road,” one netizen wrote in the replies space.
