The champion of the “MasterChef Celebrity Malaysia” and celebrity chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob has recently posted a recent update on his weight loss journey through a post on Instagram. He uploaded a series of pictures displaying the latest changes of his physic.
His post has garnered positive responses from netizens with many impressed by his progress and determination. Dato’ Fazley remarked that everyone aspires to lose weight, but not everyone will manage to successfully get fit as they have to keep maintaining the momentum.

He shares his experience losing the weight that he gained when his wife was pregnant. The “Gila Bola” actor jokingly stated that even when his wife finally gave birth, he stayed ‘pregnant’, relating his figure to his wife’s during pregnancy.
“I have been through it myself, and suddenly found myself gaining weight when my wife was pregnant. When she ate, I ate with her. When she didn’t finish her food, I ended up finishing it or when she ordered her food but then changed her mind, I’m still the person who has to finish her food. The problem is when she gave birth, I remained ‘pregnant’,” his IG caption read.
The celebrity chef further remarked that he was determined to lose weight and shared his weight loss tips that managed him to shed 30kg. He also explained that his age and occupation as a chef are the hindering factors for himself while on a diet but the matter was not at all perceived as an excuse for him to stop.
“I was determined to lose weight without exercise. I reviewed what I ate and I did manage to lose 30kg. But look at the middle picture, my body is slim but it’s clearly flabby and a clear water weight. I recently decided to manage my diet while incorporating cardio and weight lifting. Although I’m not as fast-track as others, I try to stay disciplined,” he shared.
“There are two hindering factors, one is the age factor (I’m almost 44) and my occupation as a chef because I have to taste the food that I cook or bake. So the progress is not as fast as I expected, but it’s still a progress nonetheless. The method is to not aim to only lose your weight, our body needs to be healthy too,” he wrote in the lengthy post.

Dato’ Fazley concluded his post mentioning that his intention was not to promote any weight loss product but he simply meant to educate and motivate the public with his sharing. Kudos to Dato’ Fazley for the inspiring weight loss journey.
