The latest kit for the upcoming seasons in 2021 and 2022 have been revealed recently by Nike and Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT). Using the colours of the Johor flag as a form of inspiration, the JDT kit perpetuates its identity in welcoming the legacy and victory of the club.
The colours themselves are symbolic red, blue, and white in conceptual stripe prints that mirror JDT’s steady belief. Moreover, it reflects the unstoppable spirit of the Southern Tigers as well as its blooming community.
JDT’s kit also features Nike’s exclusive Dri-Fit technology, useful for increasing sweat evaporations for players to stay dry and cozy, but the most important part, maintaining high speed throughout the game. Furthermore, the Performance Fit technology offers a more well-made streamlined fit that enhances a player’s dexterity and speed while on the pitch.
The forward of JDT, Safawi Rasid stated, “Winning seven straight titles has not been an easy feat, it has been the result of this unstoppable spirit that the team embodies on and off the field. It gives me immense pride to wear the jersey and represent not just the club but the entire JDT community that supports us every day. The jersey stands as a symbol of our collective identity, for the athlete on the pitch and for the fans off it”.
