Initially scheduled to open in March 2020, KL East Mall is finally debuting on 25th November. This will be Sime Darby Property Bhd’s first wholly owned retail mall.
According to Bernama, the new shopping centre has a gross built-up of about 1.2 million sq ft and a net lettable area of 384,210 sq ft. It is strategically surrounded by 6 main highways and the nearest LRT station is Taman Melati.
The company said that it will adhere to the government’s policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) during its launch. Measures such as daily sanitisation, temperature screenings and health declarations are already being enforced in sales galleries and show units. This is to avoid complications due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.
