Last weekend, S. Pavithra made nationwide headlines after several stunning shots of her Pepatung magazine cover spread went viral on social media.
Despite the positive reactions by netizens, the rising YouTube star said it never came across her mind that she would venture into other fields like modelling for a publication.
The 29-year-old told Berita Harian, “I feel that the job doesn’t suit me well. As for the photo shoot, I just fulfilled the portal’s request. Well, that’s my first and last ever pictorial session. I never thought of being a model at all, and I will never become one.” Ultimately, Pavithra assured everyone that her focus is to actively produce contents on YouTube.
During the chat, Pavithra added that they’ve been receiving calls from all sorts of media (print, radio, TV) for interviews. “I’m just an ordinary people, and I’m comfortable with my status. If possible, I don’t want to be interviewed or appear live on the screen,” she shared.
She also revealed that the family has been adapting well to the drastic changes over the past few months. “Regardless, we are very thankful for everything. I’m not from a rich family. At least with the income gained from coming up with videos on YouTube, the whole family can benefit from it,” Pavithra further added in the interview.
In addition, Pavithra also addressed all her social media accounts online. “I only own one Facebook account and one YouTube page. The others are all fraud,” she clarified to the local news outlet.
