It’s unusual to see our SpongeBob Squarepants characters in anything but their usual Krusty Krab work uniforms.
However, in celebration of Holy Month of Ramadan, the creators behind the popular franchise are extending their well wishes by dressing the iconic duo stylish Baju Melayu outfits!
Patrick Star is seen rocking the matching green attire while SpongeBob looks dapper in his maroon traditional outfit. The Nickelodeon characters even wore sampin songket around their waist for a complete Ramadan look in the poster.
The image, of course, sent fans into a frenzy when they spotted their childhood favourites rocking these Muslim-oriented outfits under the sea. Many people are just generally happy to see SpongeBob Squarepants celebrating the fasting season in this manner.
