Pikashoes, we choose you! It seems like Adidas and Pokemon are collaborating on something exciting.
Since last week, images of the Pikachu and Squirtle sneakers from Adidas Originals Campus have found its way online.
We don’t know about you, but the partnership between the shoe brand and iconic ’90s anime series and video game franchise is definitely bringing back a whole of 90s nostalgia. Instagram user Hugokickz gave us the first look at the Pikachu and Squirtle sneakers.
Pikachu and Squirtle represent some of the most popular original Pokémon. Both designs feature white uppers dressed with all over prints accented with illustrations of the Pokemon character in different poses. Yellow represents Pikachu while baby blue represents Squirtle.
No word yet if Adidas and Pokemon will feature other major characters like Charmander or Bulbasaur but we’re keeping our fingers crossed. Adidas hasn’t comment or this latest collaboration nor have they announced a released date yet.
It’s possible that they’re waiting to release it when the upcoming “Detective Pikachu” movie in theatres in May. Judging from the images leaked so far, we’re leaning towards Squirtle but our preference may change once more designs are unveiled.
