It appears that we aren’t the only one shocked by Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s recent engagement.
Davidson’s former beau, Carly Aquilino, subtly responded to the engagement news with her latest Instagram Stories. While she doesn’t call out Davidson by name, it’s safe to assume whom she’s referring to.

Aquilino uploaded a screenshot of a text message exchange she had with a friend. “I know I’m the 9 billionth person to text you about this but… I can’t,” the friend commented. She reacted with “HAHHAHAHAAH“, before captioning it, “My day in a text message“.
The following day, the “Girl Code” star shared a similar post, joking that her “love life was going great”. She added her Instagram story with emojis that read, “I quit”, “social life :404 not found”, “cool”, and “cries into my burger”. Both Aquilino and Davidson dated back in 2015.

Greg Yuna, the person responsible for designing Grande’s diamond ring, told E! News that Davidson requested for the ring. “Pete called me at the end of May and said ‘Look, I’m getting a ring. This is what I want.’ And I told him that I had the right ring for him. He didn’t tell me who it was for but told me to keep it a secret. He didn’t tell me anything about it,” the jeweller said.
Grande’s fiance paid a whopping US$93,000 for the pear-shaped ring, which clocks in at just over 3-carats. The newly-engaged couple celebrated their engagement by letting their inner kid out at Disneyland.
