June is shaping up to be an exciting month for K-pop fans.
We’ve seen SHINee and Wanna One made their electrifying comebacks, and now Taeyeon will be joining BTOB and BLACKPINK in spicing up the month.
The SNSD leader surprised fans by dropping some teaser images without giving fans any context. The only clue was the hashtag #SomethingNew. Hours later, SM Entertainment confirmed that she’ll be making her comeback next week.
The album, titled “Something New”, will be a mini-album with 6 new tracks, including the title track of the same name. It will be released on 18th June (Monday) at 6pm KST (5pm Malaysian time).
SM Entertainment has also dropped several other teaser images, showing Taeyeon wearing a white t-shirt with messy hair.
Enjoy:
Taeyeon made her debut in 2007 with Girls’ Generation, but eventually achieved mainstream popularity after participating in the OST for K-dramas such as “Beethoven Virus”, “To The Beautiful You”, and “That Winter, The Wind Blows”.
Since debuting as a solo artiste in October 2015 with her first EP (extended play), “I”, the 27-year-old songstress has established herself as one of South Korea’s most popular female solo singers. Her latest release, “This Christmas: Winter is Coming”, also managed to hit number 2 on the Korean music chart.
