Looking for something to spice up your sex life? Perhaps you’ll like a taste of the nasi lemak-flavoured condom.
The self-proclaim world’s largest condom manufacturer, Karex, is getting ready to launch a brand new condom, inspired by nasi lemak. It reportedly smells faintly of coconut and the spiciness of sambal. Plus, it’s coated with a warming lubricant.
Nasi lemak, which can be literally translated as “fat rice”, is a beloved comfort food that consists of fragrant coconut rice and spicy sambal sauce, served with crispy ikan bilis (anchovies), sliced cucumbers, roasted peanuts, and a hard boiled egg on the side. It is commonly found at street-side stalls across the country and also higher-end restaurants.
“We Malaysians are divided across our political ideas, religion and race. I felt one thing that unites us all (is): ‘Where’s the best nasi lemak place you’ve been?’ For me, it’s about public health, and I want to get the message across to people,” Karex chief executive Goh Miah Kiat was quoted as saying.
Karex has spent the last 6 months carrying out tests before finalising its nasi lemak prophylactic. Just like the previous durian-flavoured condoms, the company’s nasi lemak-flavoured condoms are expected to go on sale at 7-Eleven stores, selected AEON Wellness outlets and Guardian pharmacies.
The limited edition condom should debut sometime in November or December.
