We’ve never seen a prata more fabulous ?
An Indian eatery is setting a new trend, inspired by the rainbow-coloured food aka “unicorn food” trend that took the world by storm this year. You’ve seen the bagels, the toasts, the cakes, the latte art, the pancakes, the cupcakes, the Starbucks frappucino, so on and so forth. The world, especially the interwebs, is obsessed with it.
However, this one is pretty next level.
Banana Leaf Pork Briyani restaurant, which opened on 9th September 2017, is serving their prata with a twist. That’s right! Rainbow prata ?
TODAY quoted Banana Leaf Pork Briyani co-owner Maha Letchimi as saying, “Since we opened, we always sell out our pratas before we close.” adding that they usually make about 300 to 500 rainbow pratas a day.
Aside from rainbow prata, Banana Leaf Pork Briyani also serves prata in individual hues of green, pink, and blue, made with food colouring and products that are approved. Oh, and also the very well-received pork briyani – according to the rave reviews on their Facebook page, anyway.
You want? You like? The rainbow pratas are available plain, with egg, and with cheese, and prices start at SGD1.50 for a plain prata.
Banana Leaf Pork Briyani is located at 71 Woodlands Industrial Estate ParK E9 757048 Singapore, directly opposite Blk 778 Woodlands, and it’s open from 7am to 10:30pm daily.
