K-Pop fans, are you ready for September?
While August was filled with critically-acclaimed releases, September will be as equally exciting as there will be a slew of comebacks from your favourite stars. From April to Lee Hi, here are 5 K-pop acts you should be paying attention to this month:
1. BTS

After surprising ARMYs (as BTS’ fans are lovingly known) with a teaser poster of Jungkook early this month, Big Hit Entertainment announced that BTS will be making their comeback in September.
This time, the boys’ new series is called “Love Yourself” and according to Big Hit, it will continue on into 2018. This comes after the group’s previous school trilogy, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” series, as well as “Wings” and its repackaged version “You Never Walk Alone”.
The exact comeback date has yet to be determined as the group and the company are considering various dates.
2. Lee Hi

YG Entertainment’s solo artiste Lee Hi is finally making a comeback in September! The 20-year-old songstress is reportedly working on new tracks for her new album. A rep from YG said, “Lee Hi is aiming to make a comeback in September. She’s continually been working on her album. The format of her album is unconfirmed.”
This would mark her first release since “Seoulite” in March 2016.
In a recent episode of “JYP Party People”, Lee broke down in tears while talking about her long hiatus. She shared, “(The hardest thing) is when I can’t do what I love as much as I want. I want to sing so much and I want to sing in front of my fans so much, but it didn’t happen as freely as I wanted it to.”
Aww, don’t cry Lee Hi! You’ll be able to sing on stage again very soon!
3. April

Following the release of “MAYDAY” in spring, DSP Media stated that April will be releasing a new album in September. According to insiders, the girls are planning on a more mature image this time around.
We can’t wait to see what kind of music they’ll release this time 🙂
4. EXO

Although EXO just released their 4th album “The War” last month, the boys are reportedly releasing their repackaged album next month. In a recent tweet, EXO tweeted about the eclipse via their official account.
In case you didn’t know, the “eclipse” concept has always been a a big thing for EXO. The concept has been used in several EXO music videos including “MAMA”, “Angel”, “Black Pearl”, and most recently “Ko Ko Bop”.
5. PENTAGON

Sources said that Cube Entertainment’s newest boy group, PENTAGON, is making a quick comeback on 6th September. This would mark the large scale idol group’s follow-up release after their popular mini-album “Ceremony.”
Fans are speculating that member Hui will personally produce the album as the singer has been praised for his involvement in “Produce 101 Season 2” track “Never” and Wanna One’s debut title track “Energetic”.
