Angels, we hate to break this to you, but TEEN TOP will officially be promoting as a 5-member group from now on.
The announcement was made by the group’s label, TOP Media, today (Monday, 20th March). This might come as a huge disappointment to fans, who have been waiting with bated breathe ever since L.Joe’s departure announcement in February.
With the official announcement, it means that L.Joe has stood by his decision of not joining in TEEN TOP’s music promotions. TEEN TOP’s upcoming 2nd full album will only see the participation of Chunji, Niel, Ricky, Changjo, and leader C.A.P.
The company’s full statement reads:
“The label and the TEEN TOP members have been pushing back the album release date and requested L.Joe to promote together with the rest of the members. L.Joe expressed that he had no desire to participate in TEEN TOP albums, and we decided that pushing the comeback date was harming the other 5 members.
After long discussions with the members, we have come to this decision (to comeback as a 5-member group). We will let you know of the plans for their second album as soon as we can.”
L.Joe announced his departure on 10th February after he terminated his contract. He was reported to have participated in the earlier recording for the album, and the members and company have both expressed their wishes for the upcoming album to consist of all 6 members.
However, it seems like TEEN TOP will continue on as 5, and we wish the best of luck to both parties.
