Peeps, if you stay near Taman Bahagia and use the LRT frequently, you’re in luck!
Motorists will be able to enjoy 2 months of free parking at the newly-opened Taman Bahagia park-and-ride facility from now until May. The Taman Bahagia LRT is located at SS2, Petaling Jaya.
After May, all motorists will be charged RM3 per entry, which is still a lot cheaper than the roadside parking, which charges 60 cents per hour.
“With these facilities in place, there is no reason for motorists to double park or park illegally on the roads near the train station anymore,” said Zainun Zakaria, the public relations officer for Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).

This is the 3rd parking facility for the station, and it is located on the left. Meanwhile, the 1st is placed behind the station and the 2nd on the right. All 3 facilities are situated on Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) reserve land, which are used to house the company’s electric towers.
A total of 504 parking bays have been prepared at the new facility, with 5 for the disabled. This is an increase from the previous 279 lots. “There is more than enough parking space here now, so there is no excuse to block the already narrow and busy roads around the LRT station,” continued Zainun.
Aside from the Taman Bahagia facility, 2 more park-and-ride facilities have been built in Petaling Jaya under the National Key Result Area (NKRA), namely in Taman Paramount and Taman Jaya.
