EXID’s Hani (하니), f(x)’s Luna (루나), and MAMAMOO’s Solar (솔라) are looking as sweet as honey for their new track, “Honey Bee”.
As promised, Mystic Entertainment has released the music video for the talented trio’s special inter-agency collaboration at midnight on Thursday (19th January).
Behind the scenes, “Honey Bee” is the work of Mystic’s producer Park Geun Tae, who previously produced Baekhyun and Suzy’s hit single “Dream”, lyricist Kim Eana, and composers Choi Jin Suk, Anne Judith Wik, and Ronny Svendsen.
The song an upbeat pop-soul track that places focus on the girls’ powerful vocals. While the lyrics to the chorus are simple, it’s extremely catchy. The words, “bee for the honey, bee bee for the,” have been circulating in our heads since our first listen.
The music video starts off with close-up shots of the girls’ faces and then, they can be seen dancing sexily to the tunes of the saxophone. The rest of the video shows the idols singing to the track individually at a bar/pool table area/bowling alley.

EXID recently released a Chinese version of their hit, “Up & Down”, while MAMAMOO returned last year with “Decalcomanie”. Luna made her solo debut last year with “Free Somebody”, which received rave reviews.
