According to The Hive, Amzah gained more than 1 million votes for the “Most Popular Female Artiste” category. Others in the running include Fiona Sit, Joey Yung, Joyce Cheng, Bibi Zhou, Kit Chan, and He Jie.
26-year-old Shila Amzah (real name NurShahila binti Amir Amzah) first rose to fame in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan when she won the Chinese reality singing competition, “Asian Wave”.
