In support of the Government’s Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia (HKHM) 2026 campaign, RENN Asia Wellness is offering preventive health assessments worth a total of RM500,000 to the first 1,000 eligible Malaysians, as part of a private-sector initiative to encourage greater awareness of preventive health. The programme will provide three assessments: the AtCor Arterial Stiffness Test, Quantum Vitamin & Mineral Analysis, and MicroCirculation Analysis, offering participants a broader view of selected health indicators, including cardiovascular health, vitamin and mineral status, and microcirculation.
Arterial stiffness and central blood pressure are important indicators of cardiovascular health, yet they are seldom assessed as part of conventional health screenings. With Malaysia continuing to face a growing non-communicable disease (NCD) burden, greater emphasis on early health assessment and prevention is increasingly needed.
The initiative comes amid the significant health and economic impact of NCDs in Malaysia. According to recent figures cited by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, NCDs cost the country an estimated RM64.3 billion annually, comprising RM12.4 billion in direct medical costs and RM51.8 billion in productivity losses from absenteeism and premature deaths. The Ministry of Health has consequently encouraged Malaysians to take a more proactive approach to their health, particularly through early screening and detection.
RENN Asia Wellness founder and CEO Jonathan Chew said the initiative was intended to support this shift towards preventive health by encouraging Malaysians to make regular health assessment part of their routine rather than seeking medical attention only when symptoms arise. As many health conditions can develop without obvious symptoms, regular assessment can provide individuals with a better understanding of their health and enable appropriate action to be taken earlier.
The AtCor Arterial Stiffness Test assesses central blood pressure and arterial stiffness, going beyond a conventional arm blood pressure reading to provide additional insights into cardiovascular health. The Quantum Vitamin & Mineral Analysis assesses vitamin and mineral status, while the MicroCirculation Analysis examines blood circulation through the body’s smallest blood vessels. Together, the assessments are intended to provide additional information on selected health indicators that may not be apparent from symptoms alone and support more informed health and lifestyle decisions.
Chew also highlighted preventive healthcare as a longer-term investment, noting that its benefits extend beyond healthcare cost savings to the preservation of healthy years, productivity and quality of life. The initiative was positioned as part of the broader HKHM 2026 spirit of building a healthier and more resilient nation.
