It’s the reunion of the former idol group members.
Former MBLAQ member Park Sang Hyun, or better known as Thunder, released his solo track, “Sign”, at midnight tonight (Wednesday, 7th December). His sister and former 2NE1 member Sandara Park make a special appearance in the clip while former KARA member Goo Hara is featured on the track.
“Sign” is included in the 26-year-old singer’s self-titled album, and is written and composed by Thunder, with the help of composer Jr Groove and KZ as well as songwriter Kim Eana. Although this is his first solo effort, Thunder has also taken the initiative to work on every single song in the album. Aside from the title track, the other numbers are “Look At Me (feat. Basick)”, “Good”, “Magic Spell”, and “In Time (feat. Giantpink)”.
The music video for “Sign” shows Thunder as a clueless and naive man, who tries his best to woo a girl, while Dara helps him out without his knowledge. The former 2NE1 singer makes an appearance at the end of the clip, so remember to watch ’til the end! Sadly, Hara is not featured in the music video.
Enjoy:
Thunder debuted with MBLAQ in 2009, under legendary K-Pop idol Rain’s company, J. Tune Camp. They produced several hit tracks like “Y”, “This Is War”, “Mona Lisa”, and “Smoky Girl”, but at the end of 2014, Thunder and Lee Joon decided to leave the group to focus on their individual activities.
The 26-year-old idol then signed with Mystic Entertainment’s music label APOP and kick started his acting career in MBC’s “Make A Woman Cry”.
