It appears that The Flash will be getting some help from his part-human, part-machine friend, Cyborg. The more, the merrier right?
According to Variety, Ray Fisher’s superhero will be appearing alongside Ezra Miller’s scarlet speedster in his standalone “The Flash” movie. There is no indication of how big or small Cyborg’s role will be but his presence is meant to build on “Justice League” in order to lay down the groundwork for his solo spinoff adventure.
Both Cyborg and The Flash had small cameos in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, with the latter briefly appearing in the recent “Suicide Squad” movie. The duo will be properly introduced next year when they team up with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman in highly-anticipated “Justice League“.
For readers not familiar with the comic book lore, Cyborg’s superhuman abilities, according to Adam Holmes, include super strength, forming advanced weaponry, and being able to interface with almost every kind of machinery and computer system. Time will tell if Cyborg will assist Flash in battling the main villain or if they’ll just be casually hanging out as best buds.
Details on “The Flash” movie is pretty much kept under wraps, but we do know that Kiersey Clemons has signed on to play Barry Allen’s love interest, Iris West. Miller, Fisher, and Clemons will be joined by Eobard Thawne, Fred Chyre, Len Snart, and Jay Garrick.
Cyborg will return to the big screen for “Justice League” on 17th November 2017, and will headline his own solo film on 3rd April 2020.
