It’s been some time since we saw Park Bom (박봄), and honestly, we miss her loads.
So it’s understandable that Blackjacks (including us) went into a frenzy when it was revealed that the vocalist turned her sister’s cello concert into a “fan meeting”!
Idols usually dress unassumingly and try to avoid the public eye when they’re not undergoing promotions, but not Park Bom, who was spotted by fans while attending her sister’s recital on Wednesday (8th June).
The generous and kindhearted idol even took her time to talk to fans and sign autographs. According to fans, her manager, who was with her, was “nice” and did not stop fans from approaching her.
A fan who was at the venue also noted that the singer was very “tiny in person” and has become “too skinny”.

Park Bom has been keeping a low profile since her “drug scandal” in July 2014, in which she was accused of smuggling amphetamine, an illegal stimulant drug, into South Korea. Prosecutors dropped the case as they found that she had a prescription by a doctor, but the Korean public remained unforgiving, forcing the singer to go on an indefinite hiatus.
Her last known public appearance was in early April, when she was spotted in the Philippines with fellow 2NE1 member Sandara Park, who was there to promote Penshoppe, a clothing store based in the Philippines.
She also returned to Twitter to promote her labelmate Lee Hi’s single in late April.
2NE1 (sans Minzy) was originally slated for a summer comeback, but it seems like any plans for a new album will fall through as YG Entertainment is busy promoting their yet-to-be named new girl group.
