“Forget everything that you think you know.”
Finally, after the long wait and the unbearable teasing from the leaked set photos, Marvel has unveiled the very first trailer for “Doctor Strange”. In it, we get a closer look at Dr. Stephen Strange, the next Sorcerer Supreme, played by none other than “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch. Fans will be delighted to find that the teaser trailer also offers a glimpse at a much darker world than other Marvel films.
As far as we know, the movie centres on Doctor Strange’s origin story, which was established in 1963.
Brilliant but arrogant and conceited neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange survives a car accident but his career is destroyed. On a quest to find a way to repair his mangled hands, he meets the Ancient One, who takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.
“You’re a man looking at the world through a keyhole. You’ve spent your life trying to widen it. Your work saved the lives of thousands. What if I told you that reality is one of many?”
It is through this union that Stephen Strange would soon discover the world of magic and goes on a journey to master the mystic arts. Open your mind, watch the trailer below, and let it change your reality:

The official synopsis is as follows:
“Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artefacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.”

Besides that, it was just revealed that Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the villainous Kaecilius. According to Heroic Hollywood, an image and description of the upcoming Marvel Minimates toy set based on “Doctor Strange” depicts that the actor’s character is Kaecilius, Karl Baron Mordo’s (played by Chiwetel Ejiofordisciple) disciple.
Directed by Scott Derrickson, the movie also stars Rachel McAdams and a bald Tilda Swinton as Strange’s mentor, the Ancient One.
