Yes, this is the one major update that we’ve all been looking forward to 😀
If you’re a heavy Instagram user, and by heavy we mean you have separate accounts for work, personal, your dog, travel, minimalist photography, then you would understand the hassle of needing to log in and out of accounts.
We feel your pain because we too often find ourselves needing to log in and out of our own work account.
But worry no more because Instagram’s latest update enables a feature to allow users to switch between multiple accounts. Yay! How does the multi-account support work?
Go to your profile settings to add an additional account under “Add Account”.
From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.
How many accounts can you add? Instagram’s help page says that you can add up to 5 Instagram accounts. Anything more and you’ll have to manually log in and out. Sorry. But at least it the new feature really takes the burden of having to do everything manually.
Music to the social media managers’ ears, we’re sure 😉
The update is included in version 7.15 for iOS and Android, available in the App Store and the Google Play Store.
