Is your driving license expiring soon?
You’d better get it renewed quickly because according to The Star Online, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) will turn off its services next week.
The English-language daily reported that all JPJ services will be turned off for 5 days, starting next Wednesday (23th December).
The JPJ made the announcement regarding the complete shutdown of its services on its official website. In a short statement, the JPJ explained that it will be upgrading its systems from 23th December at 10pm to 27th December at 7am.
It read:
All JPJ activities whether at JPJ counters, POS (Malaysia) counters, JPJ kiosks, MyEG kiosks, UTC (Urban Transformation Centre) as well as phone transactions by the public, companies or JPJ business partners will be closed.
The JPJ activities that will be temporarily disabled include road tax renewal, driving License renewal, summons inquiries and payment, vehicle ownership Transfer, registration card print, booking for student licensing, and MyEG kiosks service.
The JPJ apologised for any inconvenience caused.
