It’s almost hard to believe that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens“, the much-discussed, highly anticipated “Star Wars” sequel, will finally be released next month. Whether it will break record or not, this upcoming space opera will have the widest release of all time.
When a movie has a wide release, you can expect to see some studios trying to entice you with its biggest trailers attached to that particular movie.
The next instalment of the “X-Men” franchise won’t arrive so soon, but fans can expect to see its first trailer next month when Disney and Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” makes it grand debut in theatres.
According to Collider, producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed that the first trailer for “X-Men: Apocalypse” is attached to J.J. Abrams’ upcoming space opera, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
He said:
I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
This isn’t the only trailer that will be attached to the “Star Wars” film.
Since Disney will be distributing Marvel‘s “Captain America: Civil War“, Collider reported that its trailer could be attached to “The Force Awakens” too.
It’s unclear how long the trailer for the Marvel film will be played, but Kinberg revealed that the first trailer for “X-Men: Apocalypse” will serve as more of a teaser than a full trailer. “It’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it,” he added.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” will reportedly be undergoing reshoots early next year. A rumour regarding the reshoots has surfaced online, suggesting that Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine is involved.
Bryan Singer is directing “X-Men: Apocalypse” based on a screenplay written by Simon Kinberg, Mike Dougherty, and Dan Harris. It will see Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult reprising their roles as Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, and Beast. Additional cast include Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, and Lucas Till as Havok.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in theatres on 17th December while “X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated for release on 27th May 2016 (19th May 2016 in Malaysia).
UPDATE (11th December, 7:12am):

A few weeks ago, Singer took to Instagram to offer fans a glimpse of what to expect from the “X-Men: Apocalypse” trailer. It seems like we’ll be given a new look at James McAvoy‘s role as Professor Charles Xavier, who is known for his iconic bald head in the “X-Men” universe.
