Girard-Perregaux and Urwerk are back with limited-edition watches that blend bold design with serious collector appeal.
One dives into vintage charm, the other leans into futuristic flair – both are built to impress. Let’s take a closer look.
Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver Legacy Editions
The Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver is back, reimagined through a modern lens while honouring its 1969 roots. Originally a bold entry into the world of dive watches, the Deep Diver now returns as part of the brand’s Legacy Editions, a series dedicated to reviving iconic timepieces with contemporary upgrades.
This time, the Swiss watchmaker teams up with Bamford Watch Department to give the Deep Diver a fresh spin with serious collector appeal.
The new Deep Diver retains its iconic cushion-shaped titanium case and features a bold dial inspired by the 1971 version, with eye-catching orange, blue, and white accents. It comes with a rotating inner bezel, dual crowns for balance, and luminous details that glow blue in the dark.
A quick-release strap system adds convenience, with both blue and orange rubber straps included for easy swaps. Inside, the slim self-winding GP03300 calibre offers a 46-hour power reserve and is beautifully finished with Geneva stripes, polished bevels, and a trident emblem that pays tribute to the brand’s rich 234-year watchmaking heritage.
The Deep Diver Legacy Editions are limited to just 350 pieces worldwide. It will be available through authorised Girard-Perregaux retailers and online at bamfordwatchdepartment.com starting this month. With its balance of vintage charm and modern tech, this is a timepiece designed to turn heads above and below sea level.
The Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver Legacy Edition will retail for US$15,100 (~RM70,970) and is available now in limited quantities at all authorised Girard-Perregaux retailers worldwide and online.
Urwerk UR-100V Magic T In Hunter Green
Urwerk isn’t known for subtlety, but the UR-100V Magic T in Hunter Green offers a rare blend of boldness and restraint. Limited to just 35 pieces, this sleek titanium timepiece is decked out in a dark metallic green that adds depth and richness to its already futuristic design.
With its sculptural wandering hours display under a sloped sapphire crystal, this is one of Urwerk’s most wearable creations to date.
The dial might look complex, but reading the time is surprisingly straightforward. A neon green arrow points to the minutes, while the corresponding hour number glides into place above it.
The movement of the three satellite arms is mesmerizing, and subtle cutouts on the dial even track Earth’s rotation and revolution in 20-minute intervals.
Around the back, the self-winding UR 12.02 calibre features a green rotor and Urwerk’s Windfänger turbine, which helps regulate winding and protect against shocks. Paired with a smooth, industrial-style bracelet, the UR-100V Magic T Hunter Green blends sci-fi flair with everyday wearability, making it a bold yet balanced choice for both seasoned collectors and curious newcomers.
The UR-100V Magic T Hunter Green retails for US$66,000 (~RM310,200) and is now available in a limited run of 35 pieces through select Urwerk retailers and online.
