Time to put the spotlight on your wrist.
TAG Heuer and Porsche Design are serving up new releases that mix motorsport heritage with modern flair, proving once again that watches can be both powerful and stylish.
TAG Heuer Monaco Grand Prix
The Monaco Grand Prix and the TAG Heuer Monaco watch share an unbreakable bond. To celebrate this year’s race and LVMH’s new F1 sponsorship, TAG Heuer has launched three new Monaco models that blend racing heritage with modern innovation.
Each watch captures the spirit of motorsport’s most prestigious weekend in its own unique way.
The Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch takes inspiration from vintage Heuer pocket watches that once timed racing legends. Limited to 970 pieces, this 39mm watch features a black centre dial with gold hands and a silver outer ring.
Red chronograph accents add a racing touch, while the lightweight titanium case keeps it comfortable for daily wear.
TAG Heuer has dropped two exciting Monaco watches: the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, an 86g lightweight piece featuring the new TH-Titanium tech, a skeletonised lime green-accented movement, and 65 hours of power reserve, priced at CHF 145,000 for serious collectors; and the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf, a 971-piece limited edition with the iconic blue and orange Gulf racing stripes on a silver dial, paying tribute to Steve McQueen’s 1971 Le Mans and classic racing heritage.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Grand Prix collection is available at TAG Heuer boutiques and online. Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch: CHF 9,600 (~RM50,211), Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph: CHF 145,000 (~RM758,397), Monaco Chronograph x Gulf: CHF 9,300 (~RM48,642).
Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 1975 Limited Edition
In 1975, Porsche Design released an uncoated version of their famous Chronograph 1, cleaner and more understated than the original black-coated model.
Now, fifty years later, they’ve brought back this minimalist approach with the Chronograph 1 1975 Limited Edition, crafted in titanium for a modern twist on timeless design.
The signature black coating is gone, replaced by a glass bead-blasted titanium case that’s lighter and stronger than steel. At 40.8mm, it’s perfectly sized for everyday wear, while the matte black dial with white accents keeps the clean, functional look that Porsche is famous for.
This isn’t just a vintage reissue, it’s a smart update using better materials.
Inside is the COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.240 movement with flyback chronograph capability. With 48 hours of power reserve, it’s built for precision and reliability.
The flyback function lets you reset and restart timing instantly, making it practical for both everyday use and track timing.
Perhaps most importantly, this release democratises access to exceptional Porsche Design. Unlike previous limited editions that required purchasing a corresponding vehicle, the 1975 Limited Edition is available to any enthusiast who appreciates thoughtful design and mechanical excellence.
It’s proof that the cleanest designs often speak the loudest – no flashy logos or racing stripes needed, just pure, uncompromising craftsmanship.
The Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 1975 Limited Edition will retail for US$9,650 (~RM40,650) and is available for purchase now at Watches of Switzerland stores and online, with only 350 pieces available worldwide.
