Calling all sports enthusiasts: are you ready to transform your watch into your latest sidekick? Well get ready, as Tissot and Longines are unleashing stunning timepieces sure to bring out your A game.

From a storied diving timepiece, to a high-tech but equally-premium smartwatch – here are two pieces that are a (diamond) cut above the rest!

Tissot T-Touch Connect Sport

Tissot has consistently been at the forefront of blending style and functionality. Carrying on this legacy and inspired by the recent triumph of the T-Touch Connect Solar, Tissot proudly presents the new T-Touch Connect Sport. A unisex Swiss sade sports watch designed for active individuals who value their well-being and appreciate a genuine timepiece on their wrist.

The Tissot T-Touch Connect Sport, powered by quartz and recharged by the sun, showcases a 43mm diameter design. The high-performance solar cells on the watch dial capture light, storing energy in an accumulator that keeps the watch running for months without needing a recharge. Additionally, the watch boasts a tactile sapphire glass, equipped with an AMOLED screen, responsive to direct touch or via the side pushers, offering a versatile interactive experience.

Available in various bezel and case colours, the T-Touch Connect Sport is a symbol of an active lifestyle, marrying materials like ceramic and titanium with sophisticated brushed and polished finishing. It complements your active lifestyle while maintaining the high-quality standards of a long-lasting watch.

Functionality and performance are at the heart of the T-Touch Connect Sport, focusing on features tailored to modern, wellness-oriented, and sporty individuals. From tracking workouts to receiving notifications, it emphasises well-being and connectivity. As time progresses, both the app and watch will receive updates, enhancing features and ushering in new functionalities.

Sports Activities – Watch & App Features

WORKOUTS

The “Workouts” feature enables users to select from a range of activities. Once the chosen activity commences, live stats including distance, speed, heart rate, and calorie consumption are readily available.

STATS

The “Stats” feature offers a deeper dive into your workout. Users can explore the app for a complete analysis with performance graphs and trends, to track the progress they’ve made. The training zone graph further empowers users to gauge and comprehend their fitness progression.

STAY CONNECTED

The T-Touch Connect Sport integrates notifications for incoming calls, active timers, alarms, reminders and more, ensuring you never miss a beat. The watch’s colourful display adapts to the functionality being shown, adding a touch to its sporty design and enhancing the user experience.

While its primary function is to keep wearers informed, it doesn’t seek to replace your phone. Instead, it offers timely updates, whilst always emphasising its core identity – a genuine watch. When an essential text or call comes in, wearers are notified in real-time, allowing them to decide if pulling out their phone is necessary.

AUTONOMY & COMPATIBILITY

The watch boasts a battery performance that stands unmatched:

  • Infinite autonomy in watch mode.
  • 6 months in standard connected mode
  • 3 months in sport connected mode.

Moreover, the Tissot Application is compatible with most iOS, Android, and Harmony devices, making it the ideal companion for all tech-savvy individuals.

Design & Features

The T-Touch Connect Sport is a marvel of design, encapsulating noble materials with state-of-the-art technology. The photovoltaic cell, combined with Super-LumiNova®, ensures visibility even in dim light. The ease of interchanging between the lightweight titanium bracelet and the versatile silicon strap further enhances user convenience and style. Surrounding the dial is an elegant ceramic bezel, further elevating the watch’s aesthetic, making both traditional watch lovers and sports enthusiasts value this piece.

The Tissot T-Touch Connect Sport is a watch, but it’s also truly a symbol of an active lifestyle. Designed for the sporty yet fashion-conscious, it bridges the gap between Swiss-made watches and useful functionalities. Its design, adaptable to various wrist sizes and styles, makes it the optimal accessory for all your endeavours.

Longines Legend Diver

Originally designed for underwater exploration, the Longines Legend Diver is equally at home on land or underwater. With its timeless design and cutting-edge performance, it is a true icon of watchmaking. In 2024, on the occasion of its 65th anniversary, the collection is being expanded with new dials in green, terracotta and anthracite grey. Presented on a 39 mm-diameter stainless steel case that is water-resistant up to 30 bar (300 m), these models are certified both as chronometers by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) and as Divers’ Watches in accordance with the ISO 6425 standard.

At first glance, it is distinctive because of its two crowns and internal rotating bezel. Presented in 2023 in a completely redesigned version measuring 39 mm in diameter, this year the Longines Legend Diver collection comes with new polished lacquered dials in green, terracotta, and anthracite grey.

An icon of the brand for 65 years, the Legend Diver line boasts a unique heritage in the world of watchmaking. As early as 1937, the brand launched the very first chronograph with water-resistant pushers, which it patented in 1938, followed by its first dive watch in 1958. A year later, Longines developed a watch specially designed for underwater exploration with a revolutionary Super-Compressor case with an internal rotating bezel and two screw-in crowns: the iconic design of the Longines Legend Diver was born.

Today, the emblematic diver’s watch has been revamped inside and out while remaining faithful to the original model. Like the versions with blue or black dials launched last year, the new versions are certified as Divers’ Watches (ISO 6425), with water resistance up to 30 bar (300 metres). All the watches are also certified chronometers by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres), an independent testing body. The qualification process subjects the finished product, i.e., with the movement running in the case, to a trial period of 15 consecutive, uninterrupted days. The entire watch is subjected to a series of operating tests in different positions at three different temperature levels to confirm its accuracy.

Black & Blue Never Looked This Good: New Drops From CIGA Design x Label Noir & Citizen

These watches are powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L888.6. It is equipped with a silicon balance-spring and innovative components providing a magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard. This extremely precise self-winding mechanical movement has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

The instantly-recognisable dial has no date and is topped by a domed sapphire crystal with black metallic treatment and multiple layers of anti-reflective coating on both sides. The hours are marked by elongated indexes and raised Arabic numerals coated with Super-LumiNova®. The polished rhodium-plated arrow hands, also treated with Super‐LumiNova®, keep time with optimum legibility in all circumstances. An additional safety feature for divers is the seconds hand with its luminescent tip that serves to confirm that the watch is running, even in the dark.

Another emblematic feature of this collection is the internal bidirectional rotating bezel for measuring dive time. The bezel’s position inside the case protects it from accidental manipulation and shocks that could disrupt its settings. The screw-in crown at 2 o’clock activates it on a 60-minute scale, graduated on the flange and topped with a luminescent triangle symbol. The sleek stainless steel case features alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces. A figure of a diver, the symbol of the collection, is stamped on the perfectly angled screw-down case back.

The new models come on a stainless steel bracelet with “grains-of-rice” links placed in the centre, providing flexibility and comfort. This bracelet features a double-safety folding clasp with micro-adjustment.
