One of the most beloved malls in Petaling Jaya is undeniably 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Ranked among the World’s Top 10 Largest Malls, it boasts over 750 shops and is home to Malaysia’s first indoor rainforest, the Treetop Adventure Park.

However, there’s some unfortunate news for 1 Utama’s dedicated shoppers—another year, another change of car park rates. Due to the current inflation affecting the country, a new parking rate structure will be introduced, effective from this 1st October 2024.

According to the updated parking rates posted on the mall’s official website, all vehicle users, including both ONECARD and non-ONECARD holders, will be charged an additional RM1 on top of the standard rates. This increase applies to regular, Dataran, and ONECARD preferred parking areas.

In the regular parking areas, ONECARD holders will now pay RM2 instead of RM1 for the first four hours, while non-ONECARD holders will be charged RM4 instead of RM3 for the same duration. An additional RM2 will also be applied for each subsequent hour for both categories.

For those who are not familiar with ONECARD, it is Bandar Utama’s official loyalty card that allows users to access privileges at participating outlets in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, One World Hotel, 1 First Avenue, and Centrepoint Neighbourhood Centre. Following this update, shoppers are encouraged to plan their visits accordingly, as the new rates will take effect soon.
