We all know that Chris Hemsworth is Hollywood’s hunkiest actor but did y’all know that he is freaking funny as well?
In celebration of Administrative Professionals Day yesterday (Thursday, 27th April), Sony Pictures released a new Ghostbusters featurette centring on Hemsworth’s character, Kevin.
Kevin is basically the male version of Janine Melnitz (from the original “Ghostbusters”), an assistant to the band of ghostbusting young women nobody wants to work with. When Kristen Wiig’s Erin Gilbert hires Kevin on the spot – for very obvious reasons – the rest of the team are understandably skeptical.
While his lens-less glasses and coffee taste-testing are somewhat acceptable, they are overshadowed by the dimwitted assistance’s eagerness to help out. The Aussie actor describes Kevin as a “big, dumb puppy dog,” and to quote Kate McKinnon, “he’s like a Ken doll with his insides scooped out”.
The boobie joke part was super hilarious, especially when he offered, “Is it the boobs you don’t like? Because I can make them bigger.” What makes this adorably stupid character a total goofball is just how dedicated the 32-year-old actor is in bringing him to life. Hemsworth knows he’s playing a man candy and completely dives in.
Oh, and he’s certainly doing that white v-neck shirt all kinds of favours. Need proof? Watch Kevin’s big debut below.
The “Ghostbusters” Reboot is slated for release on 15th July 2016.
