There’s a fine line between looking sexy and being too sexy, apparently. Well, it seems Chinese actress Zhang Yuxi (张予曦) may have accidentally crossed the line recently with her latest attire during the Weibo Awards Ceremony (微博之夜).
While netizens were quick to praise her sense of fashion, Zhang Yuxi herself apparently felt her dress exposed a little too much. She then added a bunch of flowers to her cleavage which left some netizens skeptical of her looks, while others were impressed by her ingenuity.
The 32-year-old actress has always stunned many with her ethereal looks, garnering comments from netizens calling her a “goddess” and a “fairy”. However, her choice of dress, worn during the Weibo Awards Ceremony apparently left much to be desired.
While the dress looked lovely at a glance, it was not moulded to her body and apparently left a fairly large gap between her chest and the front of the dress. As such, to avoid exposing herself, while doing touch up for her makeup, Yuxi was seen artfully filling her cleavage with flowers.
The odd addition drew eyes during the ceremony when Yuxi bowed in thanks for her award and netizens were quick to question its ill-fitting design. “Actually, it looks quite awkward. (It doesn’t help) that she’s too thin,” one reportedly said. Another opined, “Maybe (the flowers are there) because (the dress) doesn’t fit. Fortunately, the final effect is pretty good.” One even questioned: “Isn’t it prickly?”
Well, sometimes we need to get creative on the fly to deal with potential fashion faux pas, and Zhang Yuxi has clearly done her best. However, we hope there won’t be a need for her to modify her dress again in the future!
