Yoodo first made headlines earlier this year by being the first telco in the country to allow customers to customise their mobile plan. With this, users can just pay for the data, voice and SMS that is needed (via credit card, debit card, or paypal; online banking will be available in the near future).
What more, they’ve just come up with some new exciting offers. Malaysia’s new mobile brand has now extended its Roam Like Home service up to 53 countries worldwide! This concept is the first ever in Malaysia where you get to use existing local plan overseas instead of buying a foreign SIM or another roaming subscription plan.
In case you didn’t know, Yoodo users were previously allowed to roam in 12 selected countries in Asia at RM10/day. The telco has since added 41 new countries – such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and even South Africa – for RM20/day.
Do note that you’ll need to activate the pass from Yoodo app and it’ll be valid for 24 hours. Once the pass expires, it’ll suspend the roaming access to avoid any unnecessary expenditure. Users can then use the Roam like Home plan to make local calls (in the country) and back to Malaysia.
