Everyone has different ideas about the marriage life nowadays. Some still subscribe to the old “no sex before marriage” ideology. Others think as long as you’re happy, anything is fine. Well, Taiwanese artist Kuo Shu-yau (郭书瑶) aka Yao Yao’s thoughts about a romantic relationship might be shocking for some!
Yao Yao was recently on Taiwanese radio, POP Radio’s show POP原创漫游. While she was chatting with the singer-songwriter and host Evan Yo (蔡旻佑), the topic of relationships and marriage came up. Surprisingly, Yao Yao shared that she was looking for a “tall and handsome” guy, and didn’t mind having sex before marriage!
The 32-year-old is still single and very ready to mingle. But, like most single ladies, Yao Yao is also on the look out for a partner. She shared her preference for guys, saying she likes them “handsome and tall”. However, she added that she doesn’t understand why her preference makes her superficial. “There’s no depth without superficiality,” Yao Yao pointed out.
But, Yao Yao also stated that she hopes her partner’s thinking won’t be superficial. Otherwise, they might struggle to connect. In addition to being handsome and tall, the artist also wants her ideal partner to have Thor’s figure. Yao Yao’s supposed high standards even had Evan concerned she might still be single in the future.
Well, regardless of her current relationship status, Yao Yao has very definitive ideas about marriage. The artist opined it was fine to have sex before marriage to “test (things) out” before committing. “If it fails after that, then you can break up right?” she pointed out. “Marriage is a lifetime thing. (You) must live together before marriage.” But, Yao Yao heavily condemned cheating, claiming it was not the way to test their sexual relationship.
Yao Yao may have quite the work cut out for her if she’s hunting down her ideal partner! But, we wish her well on her journey to romance.
