Things may look picture perfect on the surface, but no one really knows what lurks underneath. Xinde Yap recently shocked fans when he took to Instagram to address his cheating scandal.
The Singaporean influencer, who is managed by Dee Kosh’s talent agency, claimed that he had been blackmailed for $20,000 (~RM61,000) before coming clean about his affair.
The 25-year-old originally planned to deal with the drama behind closed doors and “as a family”. Unfortunately, someone was using his “status as a public figure” to extort a huge sum of money. Refusing to succumb to “any form of intended ‘blackmailing'”, Xinde has decided to publicly own up to his mistakes and face the consequences head on.
He apologised to his wife, Paix Wang, of 11 months, and vows to be “a better person, a better father and better husband” moving forward. As you may know, the couple are parents to a 7-month-old daughter, Bree.
Similarly, Paix also took to her Instagram to share her two cents on the cheating scandal. According to the new mum, she was made aware of Xinde’s infidelity by the third party’s boyfriend. The girl had “initiated the physical cheating despite knowing Xinde is married (with) a newborn”.
