Not only are women at risk of being sexually harassed by men on a daily basis, but some had to endure being followed by a stalker for years until it reached a point where authorities had to intervene.
Speaking of being stalked, this woman had the unfortunate experience of being followed by and harassed by a man while she was driving on the highway. Watch:

Earlier this week, a woman who goes by @meerjnr on TikTok posted a video of her recent terrifying experience on the road. The content creator claimed she was being followed by a male driver after noticing that his movements were suspicious. According to the woman, the driver allegedly mimicked her car movements; if she slowed down, he’d slowed down, if she accelerated, he’d do the same.
She also claimed that he signaled her to stop at the side of the road so he could get her number. “I know I’m cursing a lot right now but I was actually shaking and terrified,” she wrote in the video. As seen in the video, the woman adjusted her phone from time to time to show the car that’s been following her. As for where this incident took place, the victim mentioned that she was on her way from Johor to Negeri Sembilan.
She claimed that the incident went on for about an hour before she eventually managed to lose him by entering an R&R stop. The male driver was said to be speeding and could not turn in time to catch up with her. Towards the end of the video, the victim was seen shaking and holding back her tears as she tried to calm herself down after escaping the terrifying ordeal.
Before the video ended, @meerjnr provided a photo of the stalker’s car and his plate number. Many netizens, especially women, sympathised with her saying they understood her fear of being followed by a strange man while alone. Others advised her to get her car windows tinted, within Road Transport Department (JPJ) guidelines, to avoid potential stalkers from seeing her inside her car.
Unfortunately, the victim did not update on whether or not she actually filed a police report after the incident. Regardless, we hope that she’s doing better now.
