For starters, Woman Sense magazine published an article about a “top star” who was caught cheating on his wife. According to the report, this Hallyu “top star” is well-known among the public for being top tier in singing, dancing, acting, and more.
The rumor claimed that the “top star” was caught cheating on his wife with a pro-golfer, known as “A”. Furthermore, it was also rumoured that the “top star” even had a separate apartment with his lover and that he was once warned by his wife after his dirty laundry was exposed.
While the article didn’t reveal any specific names, netizens speculated that the “top star” in question could be Rain. Others also brought Jo Jung Suk’s name (who’s married to singer Gummy) into the discussion. The agencies of the two celebs have since come forth with their response on the matter. Through a statement released to the press, they firmly denied the cheating allegations. They also revealed that they would take strict legal action against the culprit who spread the rumour.
So far, the identity of pro-golfer “A” has not been disclosed yet. However, the article also stated that the pro-golfer is known for her striking resemblance to the wife of the “top star” (supposedly Kim Tae Hee). Following this, many people began speculating that the woman who was involved in the cheating scandal is professional golfer, Park Gyeol (박결).
According to KBIZoom, Park Gyeol was born on January 9th, 1996 in Suncheon, Jeollanam. She started playing golf as early as 2nd grade in elementary school. She had become a member of Korea’s national team for the Incheon Asian Games back in 2014 at the age of 18. Park Gyeol secured a gold medal in the individual category and a silver medal in the team category – which was an impressive feat, especially for her age.
Not too long after that, the stunning athlete quickly took to her Instagram to put the rumour to rest. Park Gyeol explained, “How absurd. I saw them at a sponsorship event years ago, and that’s it. I don’t even know their numbers. These bad people… I don’t look like her, but I’m still grateful for the comparison. I can’t believe this is happening.”
