The internet has been abuzz after it was officially announced that Westlife has included Malaysia in The Hits Tour 2024! It will be a one-night-only concert at about 1,800 metres above sea level.
Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan will be entertaining local fans with their ever-popular hits and renditions such as “Uptown Girl”, “My Love”, “Swear It Again”, “Flying Without Wings”, “World of Our Own”, “Hello My Love” and many others. But where is Mark Feehily?
Less than 2 months ago, Mark Feehily released an official statement, explaining why he had to temporarily step down from all Westlife tours. “I developed a very large ‘incisional hernia’ and I was told that I needed further surgery to fix it. This would be my fourth major surgery since the start of it all, but I had no option,” the 43-year-old singer said.
He added, “It is with the upmost level of regret that I must now temporarily stand down from all Westlife touring until a time that I have had the chance to fully recover from the turbulent journey I have been through as an individual.”
While Mark Feehily will be there in spirit and we wish him a speedy recovery, fans are still stoked at seeing 2000s boy band again. Details to Westlife’s The Hits Tour 2024 in Malaysia are as follows:
