We’re Going Bananas Over BATHING APE’s 2024 Spring/Summer Collection!

Seasons change, but these styles from BATHING APE will age like wine, as the Japanese streetwear brand unveils its 2024 Spring/Summer collection. Featuring a mesmerising assembly of colours, these signature streetwear pieces are crafted with the finest materials and are sure to make a statement wherever you go.

Deriving inspiration from skateboarding, street dance, BMX flatland, soccer, and college lifestyles, this collection showcases the creative zeal of street culture and has been categorised into three major themes: “WEEKEND CHILLIN,” “GREEK LIFE,” and “STREET VIBES.” Though these outfits lean towards casual design, you can still find BATHING APE’s signature outerwear staples as well as sporty but still fashionable styles for men, women, and children.

To start, the men’s collection springs into the season with playful and kaleidoscopic designs, such as the LIQUID CAMO pattern, which presents glow-in-the-dark accents, and comic patterns heavily inspired by Japanese street art. These clothes are also meant to make a statement, with some saying that statement louder thanks to the comic-like graphic and colour gradient effects created by the heat-reactive materials.

For those who’d like their spring break in a college drip, there’s the “GREEK LIFE” collection, which explores the modern college experience by blending hand-drawn graffiti patterns and various school flags with spring-friendly jacquard Terry fabrics. You can, however, take these styles to the next level with the BAPE CORE, which is an assortment of layering essentials meant to be mixed and matched to suit your needs.

To contrast this college vibe for men’s clothing, women will be receiving some hip-hop-inspired street styles, with Y2K fashion being the cornerstone of their collection. Relive the early 2000s with slinky-based stylings, pigment-dyed LIQUID CAMO cardigans, camisoles, T-shirts, hoodies, and bottoms. And with summery pops of colour, such as baby pink, light blue, and green, you’ll surely look bright and lively with this collection.

Last but not least are the next generation of BAPE loyalists. The brand debuts an imaginative all-over ALL BABY MILO STA pattern on a collection of BAPE Kids pullovers, T-shirts, and standout outerwear designs. These vintage-inspired clothing from the SCHOOL and SPORT collections feature classic and casual staples such as iconic BASEBALL and spirited BABY MILO tropical motifs that are sure to be a big hit when school is out and summer is in.

But for shoe collectors and lovers alike, the 2024 Spring/Summer Collection includes the all-new BAPE SK8 STA models, which feature an upgraded colour-blocked construction in green/brown and black/grey.
