Spongebob SquarePants is now 25 years old, and what better way to commemorate this amazing animated series than with a whole wave of amazing timepieces featuring your favourite Bikini Bottom residents?
Made in collaboration with the British watch brand Spinnaker, this limited-edition creation taps into your nautical nostalgia and will send you down an underwater adventure like never before. This collection features four vibrant variations — all of which are built on the brand’s signature Hass Automatic timepiece for unprecedented longevity and timekeeping accuracy.
Starting off with the very face of the timepiece, each dial variant boasts its respective character’s distinct colour scheme and face: Spongebob Yellow, Patrick Pink, Squidward Green, and Mr. Krabs Red. However, these aren’t just for show, as these dials come in a multi-layered construction that boasts luminous accents that can be found on the numbers, indices, and even character features.
A poignant Spongebob quote can be found on the inner bezels, which reads, “You never really know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
Each watch is expertly crafted and represents Spinnaker’s dedication to quality. These timepieces, with their flawless designs and long-lasting quality, are proof of Spinnaker’s commitment to creating instruments that are as distinctive and robust as the characters they honour.
The case width of all models is 43mm, and all versions of the watch have a two-tone unidirectional rotating bezel. The case is made of marine-grade 316L stainless steel and can withstand 30 ATM underwater, which is a fitting specification considering that it was inspired by a nautical cartoon. The steel caseback features the logos of Spinnaker and SpongeBob SquarePants as evidence of their joint venture.
All versions of the SP-5138 Hass Automatic Spongebob Squarepants 25th Limited Edition model come with a matching two-tone rubber strap and a stainless steel bracelet, all housed in a yellow equipment hard case with graphics of SpongeBob Squarepants all over it.
Each Hass Automatic SpongeBob SquarePants 25th Limited Edition Collection timepiece retails for US$445 (~RM2,083) and will be available on Spinnaker’s official website starting 26th July.
