Ready to pack your bags and embark on a new adventure? If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the endless options, don’t worry – we’re highlighting 2 brand new attractions that should be included in your must-visit destinations.

Regardless whether you’re looking for sustainable travel activities or hidden attractions in Langkawi, get ready to explore these new stunning sceneries, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Here are two new attractions for visitors to look forward to this year:

Dream Forest Park & Dream Forest Book village

Step into a world of enchantment at Dream Forest, Malaysia’s first immersive night attraction. Created by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and the award-winning Enfiniti team, the park brings local stories and legends to life through soundscape, illuminations, and projection mapping on the trees. Visitors can expect to see and hear stories about Dayang Bunting, Merong Mahawangsa, and the Giants of Langkawi, all while surrounded by the natural beauty of the rainforest.

In addition to the immersive experience offered by the park, Dream Forest Book Village offers visitors a chance to relax and unwind in a beautiful natural setting. The village includes an events space, F&B and retail outlets featuring specially curated Malaysian food and brands, a vintage bookshop van, and picnic spots. Cultural performances such as music, dance, and poetry readings take place regularly in the gardens or at the 120-seater Amphitheatre. Whether you’re looking for an immersive rainforest experience or a peaceful spot to enjoy Malaysian culture and cuisine, Dream Forest Immersive Park and Dream Forest Book Village offer something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit when it opens in the second quarter of 2023.

Experience the thrill of hovering over the jungle and climbing over 550 million-year-old rocks with SkyCab, a cable car system located at the oldest part of Southeast Asia. Goosebumps are sure to be felt as you realize this is the first area to emerge from the ancient sea and estuary. Conveniently located at the foothill of Machincang mountain, the Base Station provides easy access to the cool mountain via the exhilarating cable car ride, offering glimpses of the surrounding flora and fauna.

The Top Station at 708m above sea level offers two viewing platforms with spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the Langkawi islands and Southern Thailand, as well as dramatic views of deep chasms, overhangs cliff walls, and isolated pinnacles. The entire journey takes 15 minutes to reach the Top Station, providing one of the most unique and exciting features of Machincang. This majestic structure is already visible from afar and is set to open to public in the third quarter of 2023.
