The notorious Chang sisters, Adeline Chang and Alice Chang, have been in the news lately due to Adeline’s recent court case. However, after settling her case and paying her fine, she’s now asking for donations, saying she needs surgery.
In an interview with journalists at the Sepang Sessions Court, Alice Chang revealed that her sister Adeline is currently suffering from thyroid disease and needs to undergo thyroidectomy surgery. She also asked the public to donate to the viral figure, hoping that she could raise RM35,000 to cover the medical fees. Alice also mentioned that her alleged “Datuk Seri boyfriend” had offered to pay for the surgery. However, they refused his help because Adeline didn’t want to owe the man any favour.

The two sisters didn’t provide proof to journalists to back their claims. However, news reports mentioned that Alice’s lawyer brought up her thyroid surgery to appeal for a lighter sentence in her court case. On the same subject, Adeline has settled her court case with the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), pleading guilty yesterday (24th October, Thursday) to posting offensive remarks alongside a picture of a minor on social media.
As a result, Adeline was fined RM7,000, which her lawyer appealed for, citing his client’s financial issues. The fine has been paid in full, but the online personality failed to retrieve her confiscated phone. The phone in question was seized by the MCMC back in June when the commission recorded her statement for her social media posting. At the same time, a news outlet also reported that the proceedings were interrupted because Adeline briefly went missing.
Regardless of her history, we hope Adeline can get the help she needs for her health issues. In the meantime, we hope this court case will remind the two sisters to be careful with what they post on social media.
