We kicked off this week at an Oscars Viewing Party which witnessed a historic win; and closed it by rubbing shoulders with a slew of celebs, including rock queen Ella, and power couple Fazura and Fattah Amin. We even danced a jig on St Patrick’s Day with Guinness. Needless to say, we had a blast!
Oscars Viewing Party With The Yeoh Family
The whole week has been about Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh – and rightfully so! It was a privilege for us to experience the Oscars Viewing Party together with Michelle’s mother (Aunty Janet), her god children, nieces and nephew, as well as other notable figures and the rest of the media. The entire venue at Dadi Cinema at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur erupted into cheers when presenters Jessica Chastain and Halle Berry announced our very own Michelle Yeoh as the Best Actress for her role in “Everything Everywhere All At Once”.
Datin Janet Yeoh said that Michelle’s historic Oscar win is the best (early) birthday present, as she looks forward to turning 84 next month. The proud mama also accepted the “Anugerah Wanita Kasih Unggul” award from YB Dato’ Sri Nancy Shukri (who represented the Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development) on behalf of Michelle. Also present to celebrate the joyous occasion were Berjaya Corporation Berhad founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan and Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Hannah Yeoh.

Ella Special Media Event
Netizens went cray-cray after they noticed that Malaysian rock queen Ella had wiped clean all of her photos and videos on her Instagram. A few days after the news made headlines, we finally got the answer as to why she scrubbed her socials. It was revealed that as a thank you gift for her fans, Ella is staging an upcoming concert entitled “Jilid Akhir Ella: Puteri Kota” this June at Axiata Arena.
The concert will be a personal one for the legendary rock star, as it will be held to celebrate her 35th year in the local entertainment scene. It was also revealed that Ella officially became the first Malaysian artist to sell out her concert tickets at Axiata Arena!

Guinness St Patrick’s Day 2023
We were ‘lucky’ to be invited to Guinness’ rollicking St Patrick’s Day party at Hookie Dookie at Plaza Arkadia. With its theme of ‘Our Day To Remember’, the sensational soiree was brimming with activities, games, food and a live dance troupe performance. And of course, BEER! We’ll DEFINITELY remember this party!

With the theme of “Kilauan Raya Al-Maghribi” for this Raya, Melawati Mall is looking to Marrakesh/Marrakech for inspiration by adorning its ground floor with beautiful Moroccan decorations, carpets, and Middle Eastern delicacies.
To celebrate the launch on Thursday (16th March), the mall held a fashion show to showcase the latest Raya trends from Max Fashion, D’yana, SannicoV, Colegacy Concept Store and Fana Couture. Fazura Boutique Opening & Aidilfitri Preview
Malaysian actress-turned-entrepreneur Nur Fazura officially launched her new boutique at Sunway Putra Mall, and we were there to admire her new store, which features several stunning pieces from her brand, Tudung Fazura and Fazbulous. Following the launch, we made our way to TGV Cinema, where we were treated to two short films – “Adinda” and “Kakak Kita Ke Jakarta” – both of which are part of the fashion label’s Aidilfitri 2023 campaign.
Dettol Launches Activ-Botany Range
Looking for a new scent for your daily me-time in the bathroom? Look no further. Dettol just dropped two new shower gels; Lavender & Chamomile and Green Tea & Bergamot, at their launch on Monday (13th March)! In attendance were model and blogger Hanis Zalikha and Astro Radio announcer Gan Mei Yan (颜薇恩). The celebrity duo shared how Dettol helps them and their families unwind after a long day, which definitely coaxed us to give the shower gels a shot. It certainly helped that Dettol had a handy hand-pampering corner for us to try the soaps out!

We attended Sisley’s launch of their fragrance collection, Les Eaux Rêvées, and Phyto-Blanc Targeted Dark Spot Corrector, at W Kuala Lumpur. The Phyto-Blanc Intensive Dark Spot Corrector is Sisley’s latest invention that targets dark spots of any type: localised or widespread, old or new, whether they are caused by age, UV rays or imperfections. In conjunction with that, they also introduced a new member to their Les Eaux Rêvées collection – the new L’Eau Revee d’Hubert.
