In the age of social media, hate comments can appear faster than a video can go viral, and few know that better than Khairul Aming. The Malaysian influencer and entrepreneur, who previously faced criticism after sharing a simple post about buying the iPhone 15, has once again shown that online negativity no longer gets to him.
Having spent a decade navigating both business and the internet’s unforgiving comment sections, the influencer says he has learned to take criticism in his stride. In a recent livestream clip uploaded to TikTok, the 33-year-old addressed fans’ concerns about how he handles harsh feedback. After 10 years of facing millions of comments from all corners of the internet, he admitted that he’s no longer easily fazed.

“If you’re talking about moments when I feel down, it happens every day, sometimes every hour. Back when I first uploaded cooking videos, my hands would shake. Then I’d read all the negative comments and feel really down. But that was ten years ago. Now, I’m too tired for that. You can criticise me all you want; I’ll just sleep,” he said.
The entrepreneur went on to share that he has learned to take all kinds of comments in stride. Having received feedback from countless followers over the years, he said that his eyes and ears have been trained to absorb it all without being affected. “As I enter my tenth year, my eyes and ears have been trained to hear all sorts of feedback from the public. I receive millions of comments every day. None of them stop me from sleeping, unless I’ve made a major mistake. But at this point, I’m used to it. I just focus on what matters,” he explained.

Despite his resilience, the entrepreneur acknowledged that he is still human and capable of feeling hurt. However, with his increasingly busy schedule managing his business, he admitted that he simply does not have the time to dwell on negativity. “I’m only human, I have feelings. But when it comes to feeling down, I just don’t have the time,” he added.
Meanwhile, netizens responded with a mix of humour and admiration. Many left light-hearted comments such as “even feeling down can be put on hold” and “the more hate he gets, the better he sleeps”, playfully referencing Khairul’s unbothered attitude. Others praised his mindset, calling it a sign of maturity and emotional strength, qualities that have helped him stay grounded despite the pressures of fame and success.
