Durian is, of course, one of the most beloved fruits in Malaysia. It is everywhere especially during Durian season, regardless whether you’re in the city or back in your hometown. But not everyone is a fan of the King of Fruits. For foreigners, it can be a hit-or-miss.

We know that Japanese shuttler Kento Momota (桃田 賢斗) didn’t like durian when he tried it here but YouTube couple iChang RM really enjoyed the fruit that it made them tear up. This model however is basically addicted to durian to the point even Malaysians are concerned.

Judging by his socials, it looks like the Ethiopian-British model, Addis Miller has been travelling around the world lately. His most recent stop is probably somewhere in Southeast Asia as he got his hands on a lot of durian fruits. The model posted a video on his TikTok that attracted the attention of many Malaysians.

The video showed the 27-year-old eating the strong-fragrant fruit with a text that reads, “POV: When you’ve been eating durian every day for the past 3 weeks”. He even jokingly elaborated in the captions that he believes he may be Asian in a past life, which would explain his obsession with the King of Fruits. The video went has now reached over 161k views and 13.7k likes.

Usually, most Malaysians would be excited when a foreigner enjoys some of our local food but in this case, many are showing concern for the English hunk’s health. While many share the same love for durian, eating them every day for 3 weeks is very worrying. Malaysian netizens took to the comment section to warn the model of a potential fever he might suffer from overconsumption of the fruit.

At the time of writing, Addis has not given an update on his current health after eating all that durian. We hope he’s doing okay though. Prior to the viral video, he posted a TikTok where he visited a durian farm in Thailand, much to his excitement. Watch the video here:
